Born in 1947 in Eastern New Mexico, Rod Hubble began drawing at an early age and naturally continued his self-education in painting. By the age of 26, many years after earning a Bachelor's Degree in Theater Arts, Hubble began a full time career as an artist, working in various media and settling on oils and acrylics. His career has spanned over three and a half decades and includes many awards, and exhibitions, including the AMERICAN PAINTIERS IN PARIS EXHIBITION in 1976. One of his major works hangs in the prestifiuous New Mexico State Capital Collection in Santa Fe. Hubble's work is widely sought after, and major articles have appeared in NEW MEXICO MAGAZINE ('92) and SOUTHWEST ART MAGAZINE ('03), as well as many local and regional publications.
